Kalakukkopolokka for accordion orchestra is composed
by Petri Makkonen in around the year 2005.
The score consists of 5 accordion parts and the parts for bass and drums. "Kalakukko" (literally fish-cock) means a traditional food from the Finnish region Savonia
made from fish baked inside a bread. Kalakukkopolokka is a jovial polka in tasteful Savonian folk music style.
It has been performed succesfully not only in Finland but
also in Sweden, Estonia, Germany and Russia.
